Alpaca clothing care and washing
Learn with some simple tips how to care for and wash your alpaca garments.
WHAT YES
Tips you should follow:
- HAND WASH: the best way to keep your Alpaca garment in perfect condition is washing it by hand .
- ATTENTION: Alpaca garments are made of natural fiber and are very delicate, so the clothing requires a special attention when washing.
- COLD WATER: To start, fill a container with cold water and carefully immerse the garment in water.
- MILD SHAMPOO: apply mild shampoo and gently rub the garment with your hands.
- SOAK: Soak in water for two or three minutes, then rinse with cold water.
- Wringing: To drain excess water from the garment, place a towel on a flat surface, then stretch the garment over it, and finally roll up the towel and garment. This way, the water will drain without damaging the Alpaca garment.
- CAUTION: To prevent the garment from shrinking or pilling, avoid contact with hot water and avoid wringing or squeezing the garment dry.
- DRY IN THE SHADE: To preserve the original colour of your garment, avoid drying it in direct sunlight, dry it in the shade.
- DRY CLEAN: You can dry clean your alpaca garments without any problem.

Practices to avoid:
- WASHING MACHINE: do not use washing machine never.
- DRYER: do not use dryer never.
- BLEACH: Never use bleach or chlorine bleach.
- IRON: Alpaca fiber is very sensitive, it should never be ironed.
- HANGERS: Never hang your wet Alpaca garment, if you do so it will stretch and lose its original shape.
- ABUSE: The fabric should not be wrung or abused.
- SUNLIGHT: The fabric should not be exposed directly to sunlight.
